Canada Day is right around the corner and we are ready to spend the day with family and friends. To get prepared, we put together a Canada Day playlist with over 60 songs by Canadian artists to share with you.

There is a wide variety of music here to provide hours of Canadian content for your Canada Day celebration. We’ve also put it all on a Youtube playlist to make it easy for you to access.

Home for a Rest – Spirit of the West (can’t help but dance to this one)

Neighbourhood #3 Power Out – Arcade Fire (so Sam and I had a debate over their name….Arcade Fire?  THE Arcade Fire?)

Better Things to Do – Terri Clark  (My mom used to be her boss.  And my step-brother’s ex-wife is her best friend. Cool huh? Cyn)

Feels like Home – Chantal Kreviazuk

This Could be Anywhere in the World – Alexisonfire (betcha Sam expected me to spell their name wrong but I am SO COOL that I knew it was all one word – Cyn)

When the Night Feels my Song – Bedouin Soundclash (Go see Bedouin Soundclash live. You won’t regret it. – Sam)

Old School – Hedley (Confession time – some of the songs on this list which were picked by Sam….like this one….and the next one, I am pretty sure I’ve never heard before – Cyn)

Tattoed – Damnhait Doyle (Try to pronounce her name – go ahead I dare you!)

Call Me Maybe – Carley Rae Jepson (or as  my little grand nephew used to sing Call Me Lazy!)

Hina Na Ho – Susan Aglukark (this one will get stuck in your head forever – Sam)

Snowbird – Anne Murray (had to add a little Anne in memory of my dad – Cyn)

Patio Lanterns – Kim Mitchell (I remember making out to this song…..TMI? – Cyn)

Complainte de la Butte – Rufus Wainwright (I prefer the all-French version, so beautiful! – Sam)
