Rice Krispie squares are a classic and beloved treat for kids (little and big!) but these Santa Hat Rice Krispie Treats are PERFECT for Christmas.
Easy to make and so delicious, these are the perfect addition to your cookie tray.
Santa Hat Rice Krispie Treats

Makes: 8 Hats
5 cups Rice Krispies cereal
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
10 oz bag large marshmallows (reserve a few for tops)
3 drops red food gel
48 mini marshmallows (for decorating bottoms)
3 oz white candy melts
Olive oil spray
In a large pot, add in butter and marshmallows on a low heat. Mix frequently until fully melted.
Once fully melted remove from heat and stir in three drops red food gel. Add in five cups Rice Krispies cereal. Mix well until all cereal pieces are red.
Spray a round cake pan with olive oil spray. Dump Rice Krispie mixture into the pan. Spray hands with olive oil and then press down into the circle pan. Let rest about 30 minutes.
Cut into a pie slices. Melt white candy melts as directed on the bag. Brush candy melts on the bottom of the hat and place on mini marshmallows to fill bottom of hat.
Cut the large marshmallows in half with kitchen scissors and then brush the back with white candy melts and add to the top of the hat.
Keep in airtight container for a few days.
