Ingredients

- 11 oz Ghirardelli White Premium Baking Chips (you can use a different brand but this is what I used)
- 2 oz freeze-dried strawberry slices (you can substitute freeze-dried raspberries if you’d like)
- 1/4 cup Kraft Jet-Puffed Bits Vanilla Marshmallows
- 3 tablespoons red & white heart edible confetti (found this at Michaels)
- Wooden spoons (red and natural work well)
- Square silicone mold

Instructions

Using a square silicone mold, crush the freeze-dried strawberries and sprinkle them into 12 of the mold cavities.

Melt the white chocolate baking chips in a double boiler over very low heat, stirring until completely smooth.
Spoon the melted white chocolate into each mold cavity, covering the strawberries.

Place a wooden spoon into each mold, gently pressing it into the chocolate so it sets in place.

Before the chocolate hardens, sprinkle the tops with mini marshmallow bits and heart confetti. Food tweezers are helpful for placing the hearts just where you want them.

Refrigerate for about 10 minutes, or until the chocolate is fully set.
Carefully remove the spoons from the mold. They’re ready to stir into a mug of warm milk!
Storage & Serving Tips
- Wrap the spoons in plastic wrap or clear treat bags

FAQs
Can I use fresh strawberries instead of freeze-dried?
Freeze-dried strawberries work best because they don’t add moisture to the chocolate. Fresh strawberries can cause the chocolate to seize or spoil more quickly.
How long do these hot chocolate spoons last?
When wrapped well and stored in the refrigerator, they’ll keep for about 1–2 weeks.
Can I make these without a silicone mold?
A silicone mold makes removal easiest, but you can also spoon the chocolate onto parchment paper and gently place the spoon in the center for a more rustic look.
What kind of milk works best with these spoons?
They’re delicious with regular milk, but they also work well with almond milk, oat milk, or other dairy-free alternatives.
Can kids help make these?
Yes! Kids can help crush strawberries, add toppings, and decorate. An adult should handle the melting chocolate.
These Strawberry White Hot Chocolate Spoons are a simple way to add a little magic to everyday moments. They make such a sweet little project for kids and a lovely homemade gift that feels thoughtful without being complicated.
Whether you’re making them for a holiday, a Valentine’s treat, or just because, they’re fun to create and even more fun to enjoy. If you make a batch, we’d love to see them. Share your photos and tag Gagen Girls on Facebook or Instagram so we can celebrate your cozy creations too.
